I like to capture the fleeting glimpse that is usually experienced when a particular moment is seen in that first instant. I’ve studied all the major techniques and styles and have always found that sticking with one particular artistic style or technique as being too restrictive. Being self-taught has allowed me to bend the ‘rules’, and push beyond the boundaries. To experiment a lot more and incorporate the fusion of several techniques and styles. This gives me the freedom to remain more true to the mood of the artwork. . .

Some Historical Facts About Me: I have been dismissed from the Victorian Artist’s Society, twice. Once when I was 17, and the other time when I was 36. Both times because the people in charge did not believe that the paintings I had submitted for their annual exhibition were made by me. In their words they did not believe that someone my age could have the maturity to paint like that. I felt peeved, couldn’t be bothered to dispute them and never went back - 1972 and 1993 Joan Gough from Joan Gough Gallery once stated publicly that in sheer technique I was unbeatable -1986
