New VF-17 Jolly Rogers Art Print

| 2/17/08 , USA We are pleased to present our new print release from the studios of Mark Karvon. “Pirates of the Pacific” is tribute to the famous VF-17 “Jolly Rogers” of WWII The print is a limited edition offering of 45 prints. They come fully matted with three of the pilots’ signatures: Ike Kepford (donated by Mrs. Kepford), Kurly Kurlander and Country Landreth. We are especially pleased to offer Ike’s signature as it is very rare and sought after by collectors. Since Ike is no longer with us, Mrs. Kepford has kindly offered to provide a letter attesting to the authenticity of Ike’s signature. In addition to “Pirates of the Pacific” we are alos announcing the release of “SBD Dauntless”, “The Super Chief” and the “Union Pacific Big Boy”. | Born 1930, USA the artist lives and works in Illinois, Usa Ben Lavitt co-founded Astra Photo Service, the first custom photo lab in Chicago, and is looked upon as the “Grandfather” of the industry. He sold his lab and took the reins as president of Gamma Photo Labs, Chicago’s largest commercial photo lab for twenty-one years. Ben recently made the decision to leave the minding of corporate affairs behind to do consulting, devote more time to his photographic-art and a web system of photographic instruction and more fishing. Based on his many years of experience in advertising and photography Ben has served on numerous photo-judging panels, conducted seminars, and is sought after as a consultant by publishers and writers on the uses of photography in their publications. Beyond his proven ability to run a business, Ben is blessed with a keen eye for composition and pictorial content. He developed that eye as a master printer for many of the country’s top photographers, corporations and entrepreneurs.
