| Born 1967, France the artist lives and works in Georgia, United States I am French born, spend many years in Germany and ended up in the United States where I live and work in the great warm state of Georgia. I paint in oil and watercolor, but I also experiment with other media and my experience in design can be found in some of my art creations. I am mostly self-taught. My motivation to paint was not to make money. My motivation was a strong desire to work with paint and have total creative freedom. I worked in the digital field as a designer. After years of working digitally, I desired to get my hands dirty. I wanted to mix paint in a real, touchable, messy way. I knew how to mix colors in my painters software, I knew what to do to get all kinds of shades of green but I really wanted to do that with tubes of paint and paint with real brushes. I wanted to smell paint, touch paint and work up paint on canvas. I took drawing classes at a local college, but that is where my formal art education ends. I paint landscapes, flowers, animals and many travel destinations and people. I’m inspired by places, things and people, I paint the scenes and things that matter in my life now and from times back in my twenties when I lived and traveled in Europe. I am beginning to feel the urge to alter reality. My art is becoming increasingly popular. I have more then 400 individual collectors all over the world. Website: Ginette Fine Art |
