| Gallery: CCF( Centre culturel franais) 30/oct/2007 Beirut, Lebanon Art is an experimental, universal, contingent and liberal language of communication, fitting each one of us. Its visual and immaterial force releases an energy and covey to us cognitive and emotional values. First of all, I express myself in an instinctive and impulsive way. The geometrical or haphazard forms stem from the authenticity of the creative gesture and the emotions in time present. My pictorial, abstract and spontaneous compositions are the sum of interactions between the matters, the colors, their opacities and their transparencies. I paint to express, with complete freedom and without the least esthetic judgment, this desire to explore the subjective dimension of the gestural movements, which leads me towards new prospects. Released from their rational nature and charged of an emotional load, my works become a place where intermingle imaginary space with reality, the contact with the invisible. I am interested in the association of the forms created by unforeseeable and accidental means. By the superposition of the forms, these are regenerated and reproduced. In the same way, I create my spaces by overlapping several disarranged and blurred forms, symbolic and abstract, and which are right there because they are and not necessarily because they meant to tell us something. Moreover, my work is connected to abstraction which plays between reality and imaginary worlds. Consequently, I am confronted with new unspecified and abstract forms, deprived of any direction and which reflect the enigmatic and timeless character of painting. Thus my paintings invite the spectator to create a dialog with the abstract space of the forms and their composition according to ones own imaginary. Kaometrie is a study on the abstraction of the object and the geometry of space. Through painting, the artist establishes a dialog between itself and the canvas, and returns in an unceasingly renewed questioning, where the accident in work in gestation carry out both of them in a new space. As the painting is formed, physical confrontation between the latter and the artist decreases in favor of a free harmony. The work is detached from the artist and, thus, becomes autonomous. The dialog continues then between it and the watcher. As for my installations, they are centered on a constant which singles out certain objects of the daily life by assigning them a new identity: the conventional function of the object itself is no longer a utility. Therefore, it acquires a symbolic value. Released from their rational character and charged with an emotional load, they become poetic and imaginary objects which move away us from their functional elements. Firmly anchored in reality, my works are the expression of a metaphorical language which engages itself, simultaneously, in a social and psychic dimension. Moreover, my selection of the objects, which are depersonnalized and very mundane, implies a treatment apart from any esthetic consideration.
