I was born in Madison, Wisconsin and have spent a lot of my life in the Heartland. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with an emphisis in photography and also a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN. I am currently living and teaching in South Korea.

Amanda Fehr Artist Statement

Art is a connection of ideas, people, values, emotions, perceptions, travels, and experiences. My works are the lines I have made to connect these dots. Art is a connection that everyone can relate too. It does not need a specific language it creates its own language. It breaks cultural boundaries and applies emotions to relations.
My art is not a beginning or an end but a continuance of life and a reflection of something today. The final result is a visual element created to entice you the viewer to take an active role in questioning your dots and drawing lines in your perception of what is real. It is an experience. Art is my documentation of a connection I have made and want to show you.
Art tries to prove what we cannot explain with words. I want to be an artist because I want to take part in something greater than my comprehension; the power of art; the power of something that cannot be explained or �figured� out. Art is history. History is art. Art has shaped everything about us. It is able to prove that life exists.
The value of passion and application of that passion is all that we can own and call ours. I am an artist because I value passion and grasp independence. The power of an idea and the freedom to express that idea is an amazing gift. Mix it with a little passion and you have formed one good connection.

Born Indus Valley 1935. After the partition of India in 1947, migrated to Delhi. Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1955. Studied Painting at the Delhi School of Art, New Delhi and received the National Diploma in 1962. Awarded DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) to study painting at the Academy of Art, Munich under Prof. Franz Nagel in 1966, since then lives in Munich.

In India Mahirwan Mamtani belongs to Neo-Tantra Art - exhibited with artists: Biren De, G.R. Santosh, Sohan Qadri, Proffula Mohanti, Haridasan, P.T. Reddy and Viswanathan in many Museums in Germany and USA.
