| Born 1961, UK the artist lives and works in Church, Accrington, Lancashire, UK Dawn Hilton I am self taught, I have painted for over twenty years. I left school at the age of eight and went on a working holiday with my family to New Zealand, whilst my family were picking potatoes in the fields, I would sit and sketch the snow top mountains of Hokitika. I studied and copied Van Gogh and Michealangelo for seven years before having the confidence to create my own paintings. I paint mainly in oils as they suit my pace and I like to complete a painting in under 3 hours from sketch to finish. I have only ever entered in The Royal Academy once, but was rejected and once in The Howarth Art Gallery in Accrington, where I had two works accepted. I have always planned on a one man show, but I have not had the time as I have been bringing my five children up, resently becoming a widow. I have just up loaded my art site and plan to market my art in the future. I would like to get posotive feed back on my art. Website: www.thesexyartist.co.uk |
