The idea that we propose is connected with human energy and
identity.
It is an installation that emanates from people and constitutes for them
a space for communication.
The result is a connection for all, touching upon instinctive sentiments
via the use of a material that we all possess, hair.
Our intention is to show the reasoning behind the use of genuine human hair through the expression of
energy that hovers in the space via the human DNA.
This installation functions with the following correlations:
The aim is to study the human contribution in the creation of relative
objects (hair igloo).
By decoding the object ‘igloo’, an atmosphere is created which highlights a
juxtaposition to alternative ways of living together.
Therefore, what is considered a residue, can be transformed
into something functional, such as a living space.
This utopian idea can function as an optical metaphor for the current
conditions of life, specifically in the multi populated societies of the
western world.
Hair is portrayed as a metaphor for the
wastefulness of people and therefore passing a message for alternative use
in which recycling constitutes a basic factor.
