Statement:
Routine, repetition, and even lonely ritualistic habits are collective factors in human behavior. To me these elements are evident within relationships and daily social interaction and they become contrived scenarios reflective of my basic interest in the entropic corporeality of the body itself. As I fumble to create a language through the materiality of paint, the ebb and flow of nature comes to the surface in depictions that may be perceived as beautiful and repulsive, both aesthetic qualities that support and contrast one another, just as they do in life.
