Artist Statement:

As an aspiring photographer, I would like to become an emotional instance note-taker. I wish to be able to capture a unique combination of impressions of the moment, which of course include to some degree the worlds of the past, the future and the imagination, which I am just barely aware of, but believe it to have been present. I do not claim to know or fully understand the subject of my passer-by impressions, nor to be able to relate about it on the grounds of the subject, but I claim to have entered at one time in an emotional and aesthetic engagement with it and all I can wish for is that the feeling of that engagement will bring up another feeling in the emotional memory of the viewer and thus continue a dialogue that can not be expressed in words or even photography. In the experience of a traveler this situation can be called dejavu; I hope to re-create this kind of travel with my work.
